Hey there! I'm Taylor, and my love for all things active and outdoors has been a lifelong affair. Back in high school, I was all about soccer and track. But it wasn't until after graduation that I dived into various fitness classes and discovered weight lifting. That’s when I found my true passion for fitness and knew I wanted to share it with others.
I'm certified through W.I.T.S and Neta Group Exercise, and I’ve got my YogaFit certification too. I've had the pleasure of working extensively with seniors, even teaching a dedicated senior class. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned fitness enthusiast, I’m here to tailor workouts to your level and help you crush your fitness goals!
Robbie has been training since he was 11 years old to pursue the dream of racing dirt bikes as his career. He was mentored by other professionals at a young age, teaching him of all the “on bike” and “off bike” training which really engraved how to train for the cardio aspects of getting the most endurance for sport training. Robbie’s father was also a bodybuilder when he was really young, so his father was really well-versed in training for strength/muscle endurance and hypertrophy. Robbie has also understood the importance of proper technique, range of motion and intensity.
As Robbie has grown older and due to injuries sustained in his youth, he gave up the dream of being a professional racer and wants to pass on the prevention and corrective strategies he has recently learned to help other athletes. Robbie's personal return to training made him realize how much he loves training and wants to start to help others find the love in training too!
In 2012 Robbie placed 4th in 250A and finished 9th overall in the National Hare-scramble Championship for dirt bike racing.
Hi, my name is Christina Ketchum. I initially decided to become a personal trainer after several years of being on my own fitness journey. Over that span, I tried numerous fad diets, excessive cardio, restrictive eating, and certainly stayed far away from strength training. Needless to say, none of those strategies were helpful. The proverbial "game changer" for me was when I finally decided to hire a personal trainer. This move changed my life forever. I have worked closely with someone for over six years. During this timeframe, I've lost over 50lbs on a consistent regiment of weight training and healthy eating.
I've taken the knowledge I've gained from both my personal experiences as well as my education from my certifications and have combined them as I pursue this endeavor. I'm certainly not your ordinary personal trainer, though! I pride myself on my uniqueness and my ability to inspire others! My ultimate goal is to guide others into a lifelong love of fitness and do so with a positive mindset! I care deeply for my clients and want nothing more than for them to have success and happiness.
Some of my specialties include physique transformations, working with children, and working with both adults and children with handicaps. I also recently got my ISSA Nutrition Certification, so I am now able to incorporate Health Coaching into my sessions or as a stand-along service. I look forward to expanding my client base and helping you transform your body and health!
My name is Heidi and I have always loved practically all sports and activities. I love a good challenge and am not averse to risk. I taught Physical Education the year after I graduated from high school and three years ago I moved to Oklahoma to work with troubled teen girls. Leading wilderness trips and teaching Physical Education were just a few of my favorite parts of the job. I discovered how physical challenges translated to other areas of their lives. A simple PE class had life lessons in team work and self-value that could be extracted for them. I taught the girls to push through physically in what they never thought possible and it brought hope and wonder for other breakthroughs and changes in their lives.
My all-time favorite hobby is rock climbing both in the gym and outdoors. I love the thrill from the accomplishment of pushing it to the top of a hard climb. I have many other things I love doing: upbeat choreographed group workouts, multiday canoe and hiking trips, travel, basketball with my brothers, volleyball and swimming.
I have ISSA Certifications in Personal Training, Strength and Conditioning and Nutrition. I’ve worked at Your Best Self almost two and half years. In that time, I have had the privilege to train from 8 year olds to 60+. The challenge and fun in training is also in discovering what each person enjoys & getting creative in exercises that keep the mind and muscles sharp. I love teaching classes & seeing the motivation and energy of others spur each other on.
My desire is to walk with people in their aspirations for change and growth. I love motivating, encouraging and inspiring others to accomplish their goals.
Hi, I'm Ellen and the dance floor has called to me ever since I can remember! I participated in a variety of dance styles and classes growing up including ballet, jazz, lyrical and hip hop. After high school I wanted to continue pursuing my passion for dance and that's when I found Zumba classes. I became more involved with fitness and weightlifting at this time too and realized this is a passion I wanted to be able to share with others. I currently teach Zumba, Barre and Pilates.
I am a certified Zumba instructor and a certified Group Fitness Instructor to be able to make the biggest impact that I can. Outside the gym I am a graphic designer and freelance photographer. Being able to help people bring their ideas to life and capture memories that last a lifetime is incredibly rewarding and I am thankful to be able to work with those that I do.
Kelly is a ACE certified group fitness instructor with over 16 years of experience teaching. She started her wellness journey by attending a Pilates class at a local gym - being immersed in group fitness sparked her passion for teaching and helping others improve their quality of life. This also helped her pursue her teaching career at Kent State University. She teaches a variety of formats including cycling, HIIT, strength, L1ft , PiYo, and Barre with a focus on functional fitness. She enjoys being outdoors and spending her spare time gardening, landscaping, and hiking.
I have been practicing yoga for a little over 3 years starting in my living room. I started doing yoga to get more mobility in my left arm. Not only did I achieve that it also helped me relieve stress and I started feeling better even outside of my practice. After I started feeling better and building strength I've NEVER had I wanted to try and give the benefits to yoga to everyone. I myself was really intimated by yoga so I want people to feel comfortable with me and not worry about what they can or don't have the ability to do yet. I have a husband and 2 bad kitty cats haha.
